There Is No Question

There Is No Question

We live in a world of answers. Everyone believes they have the answer for the problems of the world. "Buy our product." "Subscribe to our service." "Vote for our candidate." There is no shortage of answers available. Type any question you want into the search engine and you will get thousands, or hundreds of thousands of answers.

The real question is, "Are we asking the right questions?" Most of the questions we ask are focused on how to take care of "me" and "mine." Our questions are too small. Our questions are often focused on our immediate circumstances in our immediate needs. Rarely do we stop and consider all of life. Rarely do we stop and think about the big picture.

We have lost our dreams, we have lost our way. We often seek only to get around the next corner of life but rarely think about where this life is really taking us. "If I can just make it through the next challenge..." "If I can just overcome the next hurdle..." "If I can just get the next promotion..." Then what?

You'll be happy? Then, you will be fulfilled? Then, you will be able to focus on the present moment. Or, will you, then, just be focused on the next challenge in front of you?

Perhaps the questions we should be asking ourselves is, Who am I? and What am I doing today? In this moment? At this time? How can I be fully present to this moment? How can I be fully here at this time? How different would life look if I was fully invested in right now?

As a wise old man once said, perhaps the real answer to all of life's questions is, "There really is no question." Also, there really is no future, no past...only the present moment. And if it is going to happen, it must happen in the present moment. Are you living in the present moment?
